All About Me

I love a good game: video games, board games, physical games.

I can't resist a good game.

Whether they depend on skill, luck or both, I'm happiest when I face off with an opponent or work together with a team for victory.

As long as I remember, games have been an important facet of my life.

I have fond memories of squaring off against my father in "Mortal Kombat" on the Sega Genesis.

Playing pusoy dos with the pamilya to stave off boredom was the height of fun at reunions, the small stakes we put down seemingly mountainous when one of us got the winning hand.

"Final Fantasy VIII" was formative for me, showing me a world a high tech fantasy and instilling in me a love of stories almost as grand as my love for games.

As a self-described gamer, I probably put forth an image of a greasy nerd devoid of friends, but the truth is that some of my best friendships have been made because of my love of games.

After all, the best games are the ones played with other people.

What is "Settlers of Catan" without someone to trade sheep for wood with?

"Dungeons & Dragons" is just hallucinating by yourself without a Dungeon Master to craft your adventures and a party of fellow heroes to adventure with.

The best use of Nerf Blasters?

Running around the park, flinging foam darts at your friends.

And one of the best ice-breakers is a rousing game of "Cards Against Humanity."

So, anyone wanna play a game?
